Timor-Leste is one of the last hidden gems of the Indonesian archipelago. The sovereign nation thats only an hour flight from Darwin, has an incredibly rich culture and this tour will immerse you in all of it.
The Hi-fives and smiles from the locals as you ride past, smooth twisty tarmac and wild mountain trails make up the path for a truely unforgettable Adventure.
This 6 day trip is so much fun on and off the bike.
The Adventure
This is the 6 day trip.
Depending on factors like weather, the trip is likely to vary slightly from trip to trip but this is the basic itinerary:
Day 1
Arrive and settle in to our beachside accomodation in Dili.
Day 2
Option 1: Scoot around Dili, visit local museums and places of historical and cultural interest in the countries capital.
Option 2: Go for a scuba dive off of Timor’s beautiful coastline. You will need to have a PADI divers licence. This option is an extra cost and will need to be organised with us two weeks prior to arriving.
Beachside dinner together as a group.
Day 3
The adventure begins. We gear up, get our bikes and start the journey. With a local ceremony to start the adventure.
Day 4
The adventure continues as we ride through Timor Leste.
Day 5
We make our way back through mountain passes and beachside roads to arrive in Dili in time for a swim in the pool and dinner with the local support crew.
Day 6
Fly out day.
Whats Included in your adventure?
FULLY INSURED BIKES
The bikes for the trip are all 150 four strokes. Crf150, Klx150, Wr155 are the sort of bikes to expect. They are perfectly matched to the terrain on and off road and very easy to handle. Most of all they bring a big smile to your face.
HOTEL ACCOMODATION
All accomodation is covered, we get the best hotels available with hot showers and swimming pools where we can.
COACHING
Personalised coaching throughout the trip. If you get stuck or want to progress your skills at any point during the trip, we are there to help you.
MEALS & DRINKS
All meals and drinks are covered including beers.
ROUNDTRIP TRANSFERS
All airport transfers are covered. All you need to do is show up at the airport and we will take it from there.
SUPPORTED ADVENTURE
This is a fully supported trip with mechanic and first aid on hand as well as support vehicle (carrying luggage). We will also have a local guide available at all times to translate and tell you about local history, customs and the way of the Timorese.
What you need to organise?
Flights to and from Timor-leste
Book your flights and make sure you have enough baggage for your riding gear.
International Drivers Licence
You must be 18+ with a valid bike licence and an international drivers permit (IDP) around $50, either online or at your local RAC.
Travel Insurance
Purchase travel insurance that covers motorcycle tours with licensed operators, Make sure it includes motorcycle related activities, around $85.
Riding gear
Bring a minimum of: Helmet, boots, gloves, long pants, long sleve shirt or riding jersey.
RIDE AT YOUR OWN LEVEL WITH
EXPERT COACHES
RIDING LEVEL
We cater to riders of all skill levels, but a basic level of off road riding is recomended. This isn’t a Hard Enduro Tour, nor a high-speed, hero ride. That said there are opportunities to push the pace and tackle challenging sections, the overall experience is designed to be enjoyable for everyone. If you encounter any obstacles or bike issues, we’ve got you covered — so you can just focus on the ride and the fun.
COACHING ON THE GO
Throughout the ride, Neil Price and Jason Bale will be available to coach you on anything you need assistance with. If there’s something specific you'd like to improve or focus on, just let us know, and we’ll tailor the coaching to meet your needs as we go.
